Good News! Midas Muffler and Best Buy, both offer discounts to veterans.Only Best Buy required seeing some type of proof. These are not commonly known and you must ask for them Cheesy

Wonder where else we can get discounts!? And what do you use as proof in Best Buy - do more pushups than the guy that babysits the door?

Presumably you could show your Veterans Health Care Card - it does have your photo and military info on it... can't think they'd demand a DD 214.

I just found out about this wonderful program for families of veterans who have been wounded or killed and thought I would share with everyone:

Wounded Warriors Family Support allows families to heal together by providing them a free vacation at a family-friendly resort. WWFS has also partnered with the San Diego Chargers and the Washington Redskins to provide home game tickets to qualified families.

Check out their website!: http://www.woundedwarriorfamilysupport.org/

Nice! I know a county clerks office around me just started issuing veteran IDs.

Hmmm, wonder why it took so long for that to happen... pretty good idea if you ask me!
